31744-ORNATE OTTOMAN BALKAN FLINTLOCK CHIEFTAN’S PISTOL CIRCA MID-LATE 1700’S. 18” o/a with 11’ three stage round smoothbore .60 cal. barrel with light floral engraved gold filled decoration. Stock with brass wire and mother of pearl inlay. Lock probably Dutch and of early form has all it’s original lock parts and is very handsome. Made with no trigger guard which was traditional on these Balkan pistols during the period of Ottoman rule. All original and very handsome. Very good condition with much of the original plum brown finish on barrel. Stock only missing 3 of the pearl inlays which can be easily restored. Working order. SOLD-call for price
