All original flintlock configuration and not a reconversion with all the original lock parts except the top jaw screw which is a correct type old replacement. Lock stamped “TOWER” behind hammer and “CROWN/GR” King George cypher in front with the Royal Ordnance “CROWN/BROAD ARROW” stamped below the pan. Stock stamped with the double Royal Ordnance proofs on the right side of the wrist. Butt cap stock and thumb piece all stamped “RJM” very probably for the Royal Jersey Militia. Left side of side panel Royal Ordnance Inspector stamped “IA” Rare very early first type Light Dragoon in good original condition with only the trigger guard bow an old period repair replacement of similar type as is the side plate. Old aged patina untouched original patina overall and stock with the original finish. Lock in working order. $3,700.
